Neighbors Terms & Volunteer Waiver

Updated November 5, 2026.

These terms apply to everyone who uses Unstuck Neighbors, including homeowners who share a story ("Homeowners") and people who sign up, donate, or offer help ("Volunteers"). They are part of our Terms of Service.

What Unstuck Neighbors is

A free community board where approved Homeowners share their situation and GoFundMe fundraiser, and Volunteers can donate or offer help.

Our limited role

Unstuck Homes only reviews submissions and checks that GoFundMe links work before publishing. We do not verify every detail of any story, screen or supervise Volunteers, or guarantee any outcome. Unstuck Homes is not a party to any donation, agreement, service, or arrangement between Homeowners and Volunteers.

Donations

All donations are made directly through GoFundMe and are subject to GoFundMe's terms and fees. Unstuck Homes never receives, holds, or distributes donated funds. Donations are not made to Unstuck Homes and are not tax-deductible through Unstuck Homes. Unstuck Homes is not a charity.

Homeowner responsibilities

Homeowners agree that their story is true, that they have the right to share any photo they upload, that they give permission to publish their first name, county, story, photo, and GoFundMe link, and that Volunteers may contact them through messages we forward. Homeowners can ask us to remove their story at any time.

Volunteer responsibilities

Volunteers agree to act honestly and respectfully, to follow all laws, and to never pressure or take advantage of a Homeowner. Any work that requires a license, permit, or insurance (for example electrical, plumbing, roofing, structural, or general contracting work) must be performed by properly licensed and insured professionals.

Assumption of risk

Volunteering can involve physical work, travel, and entering other people's property. Volunteers voluntarily assume all risks of their activities, including injury, illness, property damage, and loss.

Release and waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by South Carolina and North Carolina law, each Volunteer and Homeowner releases and waives all claims against Unstuck Homes LLC and its members, employees, and agents arising from Unstuck Neighbors, any donation, any arrangement between Homeowners and Volunteers, or any volunteer activity, except claims caused by Unstuck Homes' gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Indemnity

Each Volunteer and Homeowner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Unstuck Homes from claims arising from their own conduct, submissions, or arrangements made through Unstuck Neighbors.

Removal

We may decline, edit for length or privacy, or remove any story, and remove any Volunteer, at our discretion.

Privacy

Homeowners' last names, phone numbers, emails, and addresses are never shown publicly. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Governing law

These terms are governed by South Carolina law, with disputes brought in Greenville County, South Carolina, unless the law of your state requires otherwise.
